I came to know Christ personally at a young age. When I got to college, however, I was met with a barrage of ideas contrary to all I had ever heard growing up. Disillusioned, I decided that I wasn’t going to believe in Jesus unless I was convinced that my faith was based in fact. After 1 ½ years of researching the claims of Christ, I decided that He is who He said He was. But most convincing to me were the broken hearts and lives around me that were being helped and healed by Jesus. I became convinced that Jesus alone had words of life to offer a dying world. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2005, where I graduated with a degree in Letters—I studied history, literature, philosophy and ancient and modern languages.

I grew up knowing about Jesus but rarely considered the needs of those that don’t know Him. During my freshman year at UW Oshkosh the Lord gave me a burden for my campus. He showed me His heart for the lost and gave me a desire to see the students around me come to Christ. I saw people come to Christ and a movement of students develop who wanted to see their campus and ultimately the world changed for Jesus. God gave me an intense burden for missions and called me into full-time Christian work. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2006 with a degree in Speech Communication.

We got married August 5, 2006, and spent a year and a half in the Caucasus Mountains in Russia and worked to share the live-giving message of Jesus with students there!
